HOW DOES MUSE WORK?
All members (Exec Team, Mentors, and Mentees) are required to meet every other week on Wednesday nights at 7:30 PM. Meeting time will consist of communicating general information to members, providing allotted time to meet with mentors/mentees or mentoring families, and participating with any guest speakers, panels, workshops, or other events and programs. This may include things such as teambuilding, resume building, interviewing techniques, leadership development, public speaking, how-to events, etc.
All members (Exec Team, Mentors, and Mentees) are required to meet every other week on Wednesday nights within designated families. Family meetings will informal compared to general meetings and will be led by an executive team member.
There will be a mandatory retreat that all members must attend. This retreat will take place either during one of our general meetings or on a weekend Fall semester.
M&M Time (Mentor-Mentee Time)
M&M time is not a requirement, but an expectation. Mentors and mentees are expected to interact beyond the meeting setting as much as their schedules allow so. At the bare minimum, meet outside of meetings physically once a month.
Study Session Events
MUSE will book a room(s) on campus for a certain amount of time near Finals Week in order to promote studying with other members.
Outside of the meeting setting, there will be planned socials to encourage member interaction. These socials are not required, but highly recommended.
